i ended up laying down and staring at the leaves above me until kate called and wanted me to come to her family bbq. she picked me up and i got there just in time to eat leftovers of fresh fruit and beef. it was amazing. i also made it in time for a glass of wine and a piece of Hersey's Chocolate pie...mmmm. THEN kate's mom had a surprise for me...Cooking With Curtis Stone. i was so excited i think i jumped up and down. Kate told me her niece was quite the artist so i asked to see her work and she happily showed me. Let me tell you..she is good. her specialty is drawing Pixies and then land they live in. they are very magical and i told her they reminded me of Fern Gully (please watch this movie if you've never seen it). after a while Alex and Shane came and picked us up and we headed to a BBQ in the park. a bunch of us sat around and talked, everyone talking at once, as usual. my straw fedora was a huge hit. i think everyone wore it for at least 10 minutes that night. i took pictures and people yelled at me to stop because the flash was so bright and i finally did after about an hour. Ben needed his Vespa so he pumped me on the front of Peter's cruiser and Kate followed on Tim's. I don't think I've been that scared in a long time. i kept having flash backs of the last time i did that and falling forward (i still have rocks in my hand..ask and ill show you). we eventually all went back to Travis' house and continued catching up. it was a goodnight.
Today i went to lunch with Monica, Sam and Kate at Kona's. we happened to have perfect timing with hitting the high school's lunch. but waited it through and it was sooo worth it. it was just what i needed. after that Sam and i went and say by the pool. man it was hot and that pool was freezing. i got to see my dad too. he gave me the usual comics out of the newspapers that remind him of me. we are going to dinner in about 15 minutes. I'm excited.
